How it is done
Starting with the most infested room, I heat the home up one room at a time until the entire home is at a lethal temperature. Each room takes 30 minutes to an hour to heat up, depending on the size, so if you have a home with 4 rooms you can assume it will take about 3 hours to treat. The heater runs on propane and stays outside while it blows hot air into the home through a ducting system. In order to ensure the heat gets everywhere, I strategically place fans throughout the home to create a convection. Don’t worry about cold spots, I will be in the home during treatment moving couches, mattresses, box springs, and dressers around in order for the heat to penetrate wherever those bed bugs may be hiding.
